Story behind the song
One day I received a beat from my cousin back in 2019. Before I started writing the song I sat and thought to myself like, "how can I standout and be different than everyone else"???? Then it hit me, I decided to create a whole new sound and genre of music. So instead of calling it hip hop or rap I came up with "Evolve Hop". Overall the whole point of Evolve Hop is to spread a better message to the people while at the same time still being gangsta. Instead of glorifying violence, Evolve Hop glorifies violence ONLY when necessary. Protect yourself by any means. Expose the government for all of their wrongdoings and definitely watch out for all these degenerate people on the planet. I opened up a lane for the artist who are tired of hearing and rapping along with singing about money, sex, drugs etc etc. Evolve Hop is not conscious music to the point where I'm tryna to tell people to be good. No Evolve Hop is about dope hard hitting 808 beats that can be played in any club or trunk of any vehicle while still having tough, edgy lyrics. More so along the lines of I won't kill unless it's absolutely necessary. Basically Evolve Hop is battling all these artists who make rap, hip hop and r&b music that spread the same dirty degenerate messages and content that has been in music for the longest time. There's a lotta people on this who are waiting for an evolution, a next level of gangsta conscious music. That's the best way I can describe the whole Evolve Hop movement so jump on board and enjoy. This ain't rap, this ain't hip hop, this Evolve Hop and still evolving.
